Spatial–Temporal Characteristics and Driving Mechanisms of Rural Industrial Integration in China

The scientific evaluation of the development rural industrial integration is great significance to understanding changes occurring in structure China’s agricultural sector. Combined with practical problems related on basis four dimensions, i.e., chain extension, multifunctionality, service industry and economic effect integration, level calculated for period from 2008 2020 by means entropy method, its spatial–temporal evolution characteristics regional heterogeneity driving factors are discussed kernel density estimation, hotspot analysis a fixed panel data model. results showed following: (1) From 2020, 31 provinces China improved varying degrees. growth rate was highest, while second; extension lowest, multifunctionality exhibited fluctuating upward trend, peaking 2017. In terms spatial distribution, representative cities high low levels each dimension were different. (2) Rural characterized imbalance, polarization central western regions. an “east–middle–west” ladder pattern obvious. hotspots mainly concentrated southeast region, they gradually expanding coldspots northwest trend decreasing size. (3) factors, urbanization level, human capital, transportation facilities, ecological environment, intensity financial support agriculture digitalization had significantly positive effects, degree upgrade negative effect.
